convertimate Temperature difference

Temperature difference converter

Convert a change or gap in temperature between °C, °F, K, °R and °Ré, with no offset.

18Δ°F

That's about the same as a day-night swing in spring.

What it means

How big a change is that?

For a reading on a thermometer, use the temperature converter instead: it adds the 32 °F offset that a difference does not have.

About temperature differences

Converting a temperature and converting a change in temperature are different sums. 20 °C is 68 °F, but warming by 20 °C is warming by 36 °F: the 32 drops out, because both scales move together.

This is the converter for climate targets, fever, cooking adjustments, thermostat swings and engineering ΔT: one degree Celsius of change is 1.8 degrees Fahrenheit, and exactly one kelvin.
