Odds converter
Convert a chance between the four ways the world writes it: a percentage, decimal odds, fractional odds and American odds.
That's 1.5× as likely as rolling a six, while red on roulette is 1.95× more likely. That is roughly one in 4.
What it means
How likely is that?
These are pure mathematical conversions. Published betting odds include a bookmaker’s margin, so they always add to more than 100%.

Three things worth knowing
-
Probability = 1 ÷ decimal odds
Decimal odds of 4.00 mean a 25% chance. It is the one conversion worth memorizing, because it turns any price straight into a probability.
-
Three regions, three habits
Fractional odds came from British racecourses, decimal odds from continental Europe, and the American moneyline from US sports. None is more correct; they are just local dialects.
-
The odds do not add to 100%
Convert every outcome in a market and the percentages sum to perhaps 105%. That overround is the bookmaker’s built-in profit.

About odds formats
The same chance is written four ways. Decimal odds of 4.00 are what you get back per unit staked. Fractional odds of 3/1 are the profit against the stake. American odds of +300 mean a 100 stake profits 300, while −150 means you must stake 150 to profit 100. All three mean 25%.
